1 Birthday Cake, 4 Eager Kids, 30 Years to Celebrate!!

The kids and the "big kid" were super excited to try this homemade peanut butter cup cake. They kept trying the "perfectly chocolate chocolate frosting" before we got the candles lit.
Some more taste testing.

A view from the inside.

1 candle for every decade

Opening his gifts...

His favorite hot sauce

Some random movies. Nothing says "I love you" like "The Bad News Bears" and "Rocky"

He got lots of help opening his presents. The kids were eager to see what "they" got.
Nathan is always a great sport on his birthday and is very gracious about being excited for the things that he gets. He is such a great example at not having high expectations for gifts and at being elated about any little thing. I could definitely learn a few lessons from my husband! He had a great day and heard from many people, mostly his family. They are always really good at remembering birthdays and making a person feel loved. Nate struggled a little in the morning upon reflecting on his life and wondering if he had accomplished all he should for his 30 years. I kept telling him he'd gone above and beyond most of his peers but he is a lot more demanding of himself than others are. He expects a lot of himself and is constantly working on improving. He truly is a STONEWALL, both physically and mentally. He is amazing and I love my Valentines Husband!
