Rainy Day= Inside Play

It has been raining a lot in Virginia this past month and has created several opportunities for me to have to use my creativity to entertain the girls.  We usually go outside or go to a park and play, but lately it has not been possible.  So, although I banned playdough from the house over a year ago (because the kids had made a complete mess and wouldn't clean it up)... I decided to make some homemade playdough with the girls.  It actually turned out really well and I was able to control it enough that it was manageable and not stressful!

Lily loves hands on things and had a great time making "snakes" and just playing with the dough.  Abigail, on the other and, seems to prefer to try and eat it!!

Nathan also happened to finish his horrible Georgetown Hospital rotation (that lasted 3 1/2 months) and we made him a poster and goodies to celebrate.  I think next time I will try and reserve it for just Kaylie and Carter to do because the girls seemed to create more chaos than fun (pretty normal occurrence here!).
At least they look like they were having fun.. they were yelling and fighting over writing space for some time, but it turned out all right.
Notice Lily and Abigail- it is so typical of them.. Abigail loves to shed her clothes and shoes asap, while Lily prefers to be fully dressed and covered and hates it when her clothes get the least bit wet.
