Making Up For Lost Time

Believe it or not, but that is NOT Nathan on the floor being clobbered by our kids.  It is Andrew Zvirdsdin (a family friend of the Clarks from upstate New York).  Nathan and Andrew's families go way back and since Andrew and his wife Jamie just moved to Alexandria, we just had to have them over for dinner.  It was so much fun getting to know them and hearing about how Andrew used to look up to Nate.  Nate said that Andrew reminds him a ton of his father (Brother Z) and I was impressed with how playful he was with the kids.
Carter and Kaylie wasted no time showing off and trying to outsmart and wear him out.  But Andrew showed great endurance.

Jamie and their son Max.. possibly the biggest baby I've ever held.  He is only 5 months old and I think she said he weighs 25 pounds (I know for sure it was over 20).  He was really cute and seemed like a happy baby.  They said it runs in the Z family to have big babies, although you'd never guess by looking at the parents nor by looking at them grown up!
I really enjoyed Jamie, she was really sweet and we had a lot in common.  She even let me go off about cloth diapers and food storage and at least acted interested.  It was fun for me to be able to share some of the things that I've learned, like how to make my own rice, wheat, or barley cereal for babies, and save tons of money on things like that.  She left her BYU sweatshirt here, so I am glad we have an excuse to have them over again sometime!  We love the Z's!
