We had a morning full of grinding wheat and baking bread. I got out the hand grinder and let Abigail go to work... but I think she enjoyed eating the flour more than turning the crank :) (surprise surprise).
She wasn't very good at taking turns with Lily, so I ended up bringing Lily to the other counter and having her help with the bread.
We added some sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and oats to our normal wheat bread recipe and it was absolutely my favorite!! Now I make 'whole grain' bread along with plain wheat bread, all from ingredients that I have in store in my pantry for food storage!! I love being self provident.
