Starting a Blog

Well, after several friends and family members have talked about the joys and ease of blogging I have decided to give it a try. I must admit that the real reason behind my joining the blogging world is that I need motivation to write in a journal. I am thus writing in hopes to have something to print off at the end of each year that will amount to a journal for myself and my posterity. I will do my best to write/post more frequently than I have done in my own personal journal. I need all the motivation and help I can get to be better at recording the events of my life. These really are days for me cherish and do my best to remember. A quote that my mother always had on our wall growing up has been on my mind a lot lately:

"Settle down cobwebs
dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby
and babies don't keep".

This is something that I am diligently working on: leaving the little things (like a perfectly clean house) on the back burner in order to pay more attention to the most important things: my growing children. They really do grow fast and I need to cherish it while I can. I love being a stay at home mom and although I have my bad days, I wouldn't change it for the world. I just hope that I can remember these days and this blog should help me do it!
