Random snippits

Carter had a week of firsts:

He got to go to his first birthday party without Kaylie or other family. The Schutt family invited him over for their 2 year old twins' party this past week. He loved it because he got to eat cake and bring home a party bag and 2 balloons. He said it wasn't very fun because he didn't get to open the presents or even play with them! That's a 3 year old for you!

The Cecil family, our neighbors also invited both Kaylie and Carter to the movie theater yesterday. Kaylie has gone a few times with me, but this was Carter's first theater experience. They said he did really well sitting and paying attention to the movie, although the story line was a bit over their heads.

During F.H.E. we learned about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. After multiple times of telling the story and explaining the picture of them in the garden with all the pretty trees and animals, I asked: So who are these people and where are they? Carter replied: "Adam and Eden in the Garden of the Tiger" - at least he got some things right:)
