Crazy Carter

After I got Kaylie on the bus this morning I had some time with Carter before the babies woke up. He was in an interesting mood and was really talkative. It ended up being a rather humorous time in which I wrote 4 quotes from him in less than 3 minutes. We were reading books and he just kept talking and saying funny things. Here's what he said:

1) We were reading a book about what daddies do. I pointed to a daddy and asked "Does that daddy look like ours? His reply: "No, cuz our daddy has a big head."

2) "I chose the "Grandma and Food book next" because reading about Grandma makes me happy." (How sweet!)

3) While I was reading I must not have been pronouncing things well. I read the phrase "My Grandma and I" and Carter looked at me seriously and said, "Grandma died?"

When we finished the book he just started rattling off all sorts of weird things and among them he said: "Mom, you know you have a big head and a baby head."

What a silly kid. I just kept laughing all morning. But I wish the laughs would have lasted. After this good time together the boy started having a hard time keeping potty words from coming out of his mouth so he spent a good portion of the morning in time out. He has been saying potty words or mean things a lot lately, as well as peeing in the bathtub and on the floor. He's just out of control!!!
