- We had a joint garage sale with our friends, the Eliesons, two weekends ago. We brought all of our junk (that I'd been compiling for weeks) over to their house early in the morning. Then I drove around and hung up 8 signs to get people there. I got back around 7:50 to find that Nathan had already sold over $10 worth of stuff! We had a ton of people and it was nearly non-stop from the time I put up the signs to the time I took them down. We definitely picked the right place and people to do this sale with! Stephanie even treated us to her homemade blender pancakes while we were busy selling. The Eliesons had a huge TV and furniture that reeled a lot of people in and we had tons of little things that added up to around $100 by the time we were done. We took all the remaining things to the Goodwill and felt good about de-junking our lives and giving others a chance to buy our things for a really cheap price before Goodwill went and overpriced it.
- I have been having most of my yucky pregnancy symptoms come back with full force. The most annoying of them are the constant headaches and dizziness that I can't seem to find a true remedy for. Now that I can't take Exedrin, I've been having to take Tylenol with a caffeine soda (which I hate) and it sometimes does the trick. I haven't been throwing up as much this time around, but the nausea can be intense and mostly I just feel extreme exhaustion most of the time. It's hard enough taking care of myself, but having 4 kids and a man on top of that proves that it just gets harder every time. I know it will be worth it in the end. I love each of my kids dearly and if feeling sick for 3 months straight is the price I have to pay for them, bring it on!
- They called me as the 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency, so for the first time since I was 12 (besides subbing and playing the piano) I am in the Primary. I guess it is a good thing and will teach me a lot. Yesterday was our first day as a new presidency and it was interesting to say the least. We didn't have a pianist or a chorister so all of us in the presidency were playing double rolls. I had to play the Organ for Sacrament then run to the primary room to play the piano for the remaining 2 hours of church. The new president, Amanda Mallett, was doing sharing time and helping me on the piano (when I had to go change Abigails' diaper), and Keats Jimenez was the chorister and did the conducting. Needless to say it was a little intense, but it was a good way to teach us how to fly by the seat of our pants and get us used to having to use our talents fast!
- Nathan flew to Cleveland, Ohio for the weekend to attend a Dermatology conference for his residency. He seemed to have a good time and mostly commented about the huge room he had to himself and the fact that he found a guy from his medical school that was graduating next month from his residency and found a decent job in OR. He came home with a few numbers to doctors trying to recruit him to Kansas and Tennessee.
- Last week we put up a big map of the United States on our wall and we've been spending a lot of time looking at it and trying to get a feel for where we'd like to live. Last night Nathan said he'd like to look into "Oregon and Nebraska". Neither of those were really in the radius of states I was hoping for (the ones that touch either Utah or Arizona). I would just love to be a lot closer to family, but I know in the end it just depends on where the jobs are and it is ultimately up to the Lord where we go.
- The kids continue to make messes faster than I have energy to clean them up. I constantly feel worn out and tired of repeating myself. I need one of those repeat buttons when I talk to my little girls, they don't listen unless I have a piece of food in my hands.
- I threw a baby shower for my friend, Monique Cox, over the weekend. I spent most of the week either shopping or baking for it and by the time the party was started I was so dizzy I could hardly enjoy it. I made my favorite brownies (from scratch), 48 mini cupcakes, chocolate cookies, and a yummy fruit salad presented in a watermelon baby carriage (I cut it to look like a carriage and then pinned 4 grapefruit "wheels" on the outside). It was a hit.
- Nathan fixed our van window (which hasn't worked properly for a few years) with the help of our next door neighbor, who is a mechanic. He ordered the part online and it only took about 2 minutes to fix and I'm sure it saved us hundreds of dollars! Way to go Honey!!!
That is all the main things I can think of for the past few weeks. It makes me tired to just think about them! I'm sure we did even more than that, but I can't remember any more.

I'm the second counselor in our Primary here! You are going to LOVE Primary-- it is the BEST. I am sad you are feeling so sick-- wish I was there to take your kiddos for an afternoon. I just think you are the greatest!! Maybe when we are all done we'll end up in the same state as you!!We find out about fellowship on the 16th of June. Fingers crossed!!
