I was super happy that Justin and Aly drove up from Provo to visit us while we were in Layton. I have wanted to get to know Aly better, (seeing as how I've only met her on their wedding day) and I've been missing my family a lot. We haven't had a Christmas with my family since we've been married and I'm starting to crave it!

Uncle Justin trying to get Carter and Lily to smile. They had so many aunts and uncles that they weren't sure what to think, but they warmed up to Justin (who doesn't?). It was cute to see my brother interact with my kids. He'll be a good father.

Aly is so cute! I really enjoyed getting to know her a little better and was grateful that we got some girl bonding time. While Justin and the other men stayed upstairs to watch a boring football game, we went downstairs with some of the other girls and watched, "The Christmas Shoes". It was a tear jerker and I was glad to have another sister to watch it with. I can see why Justin married this sweet girl!

Carter kept trying to open the dart board we got them for Christmas.

Trying to get them all in the shot without interefering with the football game didn't go so well.
I was grateful that they stayed for dinner and tv/movie. It was nice to catch up with them and to see them in the honeymoon phase. It is always fun seeing someone change when they fall in love and get married. They become whole and happy, as I witnessed with Justin and Aly. I only regret that we didn't get to see them again after Christmas, but I will count my blessings that I at least got to see someone from my family!
