Crazy Behavior Doesn't Change Just Because it's Vacation

A few hours after we'd tucked our children into bed we went to our room and found little Lily still awake, and our room in ruins.

She was obviously way beyond tired, but that didn't seem to matter... there was a whole new world to discover and she wanted to do it. Unbeknownst to me, Bryan (whose room we were using) had a stash of about 15 king-sized candy bars under his bed, that he had planned on giving as stocking stuffer presents for everyone. That is until Lily got a hold of them....
She unwrapped every single one of them and had them all over. The funny thing is that she only took one bite of one chocolate bar. We were lucky she didn't eat more or make that huge of a mess with the chocolate, that could've been deadly! We felt terrible for Bryan and re-wrapped all the bars into the foils, but we had no way of knowing whether they were dark, light, almond, symphony, hershey, or whatnot. We said that we'd put a golden ticket in one for the lucky winner, but I don't think we ever actually got around to it.

As if opening all the chocolate bars wasn't enough, she also decided to unwrap nearly all of the nearly 25 gifts we had just wrapped that morning to prepare for Christmas. We were left with a pile of wrapping paper and the boxes that we had wrapped things in. I wasn't happy that nearly 2 hours of work just went down the drain, but at least she didn't open any of the presents!

And all this happened as Kaylie and Carter slept soundly on the floor next to her!
