Easter Morning

What is going on mom? You got me up early, got my dress on and now I can't even go down the stairs! Yuck, I hate cameras!

Oh, I guess it was worth the wait. Kaylie found Carters' chocolate bunny and helped him reach it up high.

Abigail loves her new duck

I can't get this picture to turn upright, but I just had to share it because I love my little yellow girl! (yellow is still my favorite color).

My little man and his favorite new bunny. His ears are a little messed up.

Look at that sweet piece of chocolate and darling girl!

I always make the kids wear their bunny ears for the egg search, and they all seem to love it, except Abigail wouldn't keep them on for the life of me!

Sharing their goodies

After our egg hunt I read my favorite Easter story to the kids. It is about a handicap boy that brings an Empty Egg to school when the teacher asks the class to bring an Egg that has something in it that represents new life. The teacher nearly passed his egg by, thinking he didn't understand the assignment, but he yelled out, "that's my egg". She then asks him what it means and he tells of how it represents the "Empty Tomb" and Christs' resurrection. I always always cry when I read it. It gave us a good start to teaching the kids the real reason for Easter. Then we had a family walk outside and found many new signs of life.

Later, as part of our Easter feast, the kids helped me make "Bunny Rolls", but they ended up looking more like cats. They were really big too, but tasted great alongside our ham, mashed potatoes/cauliflower, and pineapple.

We also had the privilege of watching General Conference on our very on TV, which was a real treat. We even have a DVR now and were able to record the sessions. AWESOME. I love General Conference, and I love Easter- how perfect that they were on the same day!

What a cute family you have! I wish I could see them more and know you all better! Yellow is my very favorite color too! In fact I used to be quite obsessed with it! I hope you have fun with Nate's family!
