Happy Birthday Craig Cox

My good friend, Monique Cox, had a hard week last week and we got to watch her son, Craig, on his second birthday, while she went to the doctors. We had a mini b-day party for him since his parents were stuck in the hospital. Monique was 28 weeks pregnant and went from a perfectly healthy pregnancy to a very high-risk one in a matter of a few hours. Something wasn't working well with the umbilical cord and she had to go in to the dr's every other day for blood work and sonograms. She called while we were watching Craig and said that she's have to deliver the baby the next morning and would be staying overnight at the hospital. The did a caesarean delivery and the very premature Londyn was born and seems to be thriving despite being only 1 lb. 13oz and 14 inches long. It is a miracle and I was just grateful that I could help. I was able to visit Monique in the hospital after she delivered, she looked great and seemed surprisingly upbeat for all that she had gone through.
Blowing out the candles.

Craig loved the M+M's and the frosting, but didn't touch the actual cake.

Yummy! Mint frosting with mint chips!
