First Grade Starts!

My little girl is not so little anymore! I can't believe how fast Kaylie is growing up! We got her to school on the bus at 7:20 in the morning and thus began our new family routine. I was determined to do better at not stressing out in the morning this year and have thus started using an alarm and getting up at 6:40. It has been working well and giving us more than enough time to get dressed, fed, and all ready before the bus comes. I should've done that last year for kindergarden, but alas, I didn't. It has been nice to have more time in the morning, as I've been getting up earlier.

Kaylie really likes first grade and seems to forget about anything that she has learned by the time she gets home. Every night I ask her, "so what did you do today/learn/etc." and she almost always tells me something about lunch or recess, but rarely about anything that happened in the classroom. I might need to come up with a new question.
