Mother's Day memories

Well, another Mother's Day has come and gone and for some reason I still always think of it as a day to remember my own mother and grandmother and whatnot, and not really myself. However, with Nathan being home it was a special treat for me and he went out of his way to make sure I was honored for being a mother. He made a delicious omelet for breakfast and let me sleep in too (my favorite, although I was still up before 8am). We had a nice meeting at church and Kaylie and Carter sang in the Primary. It is always entertaining and wonderful to see the children singing, they are adorable. It is a special treat indeed when your own kids are in the mix and pretending to sing. There were a few parts that we actually heard Kaylies' voice above the rest, but little Carter just stood up there the whole time without opening his mouth. He did at one point appear to wave, which was entertaining.

We had a really nice dinner, made by my wonderful man, (but I made the menu and bought the food). He made chicken pasta salad, watermelon, corn on the cob, baked beans and chips. YUMMY! Nate and the kids also bought me a few gifts: some beautiful white roses, icy hot, and a cheesecake pudding mix. He even used the icy hot that night and gave me a terrific massage! I love those. It was a beautiful day and made me proud to be a mother. I truly love my family and have a great time being a mommy. It is grueling work and a constantly demanding job, but it is well worth my every effort and sacrifice. I know that I complain about it way too often, but in the long run I will be grateful for all the little blessings that come through raising children. I LOVE MY BABY CLARKS!
