Yorktown

We drove to Yortktown after a nice continental breakfast offered at the hotel.  It had a ton to see and do and was very kid friendly.  It was a very fun way to see our history and to teach the kids.

Okay, so I have a ton of pictures (and I didn't even post most of them).  But for some reason with this new toolbar I can't figure out how to add a caption without it moving the picture to the top. So I guess I will just do a quick synopsis here...

The kids LOVED Yorktown and had a great time reenacting history, playing dressup, washing the socks in the water barrels (their favorite), playing "games" and watching a real live cannon being shot (the above picture, although it didn't really capture it!).  It was a fun place, but the kids liked Jamestown even more!  (next post).
