Quickie!

I am so behind in here and must explain really quickly (as I have to leave soon). We have not had a working computer for a long time now. Even when I last blogged (about a month ago) the computer was so slow that it took over an hour just to turn on and write that small entry. We have been paying for the highest speed internet for over 6 months now and our computer is slower than dial-up. So, our nice computer-genius neighbor offered to look at it for us. He found that it would be easier to just build us a new computer rather than fix all the old problems. He worked really quickly and now we have an awesome new computer that is faster than anything we've ever had, and free of charge!!! The Lord really does meet our needs through other people and we are truly grateful for this blessing. Nathan's laptop died a few months back and we have been down to just this painful home computer. It will no longer be painful thanks to a great neighbor and friend.

On that note, we have another neighbor that accidentally hit our van when parking his car the other day. It just so happens that he is a mechanic by profession and took our van in today to fix up the paint he'd ruined. I asked if he'd be willing to touch up the back as well (since our car was hit in a parking lot a few months back and it looks beat up). He said that would be no problem since it is the same paint he'd be using for the front part he hit. So, sometimes being hit is the Lords way of fixing yet another problem.

It seems we have had our share of technological expenses lately but the Lord is providing the means and ways to fix them without busting our budget. Thank goodness for tithing! I love that we can pay an honest tithe and reap the blessings that the Lord offers from it. Some people may think we are crazy to pay 10% of all we earn to the Lord, but I know that we'd be crazy not to!

We are currently trying to get Nathan's new cell phone working properly (he had to buy a tracfone after Abigail broke his last cell on the eve of his needing it most!!).

Our camera has been in barely-working condition for almost a year now and yet seems to still make due.

It is almost unthinkable to imagine that a year from now we will actually be making money for the first time in our married life and could possibly replace these things without all the worry and concern that they currently give us. We have always gotten by and I am sure that we always will so long as we pay and honest tithe and keep our covenants. That has been the key for us!!!

I will have to get on here and post about the last month or two once I get more settled into the new school routine. Kaylie and Carter started school this morning :)

No worries, we can always just stay aloof from technology! Thanks for being so patient with all of the challenges and struggles we have faced lately
