It has been a few weeks since I have blogged, but I need to go back to where I left off because a TON has happened! These poor pictures show how we spent a few days after Carter contracted some nasty sickness then passed it on to Lily and Kaylie (kindof).

Carter was such a nice sick kid. He pretty much stuck to himself and laid on the couch and wanted to cuddle and be read too. I stayed home with him during church and had a nice "break" when Nate took all the girls to church. I usually don't like missing church at all, but I was able to study the scriptures longer and better than normal and get things done for my calling, while having some peace and quite in my own house for 3 hours. It was really nice. Carter was sweet and loved being doted on. The next day he was pretty much feeling better, but Lily was really sick. She was the exact opposite of Carter. Talk about the worst sick kid I've ever seen! She was non-stop whiny and crying until she fell asleep (which wasn't until everyone else was having naptime). She was obsessed with having her throw-up bowl right next to her and didn't want to have anything make her feel better. She refused to take her medicine so I had to force-feed it down her throat a few times, and she would usually throw it up quickly after taking it. Once she was sleeping she was pretty adorable, but man did that whining get to me! It is amazing how even when they are sick you can see the kids' different personalities.

Luckily it was only like a 24 hour bug and Lils was feeling better the next afternoon. But then Kaylie had a fever. She never threw up and her fever went away that night, so she was fortunate to not catch the complete bug. Abigail was the one that killed me. She seriously drank out of both Carter and Lily's sippy cups when they were in the very heart of the sickness, and still managed to completely avoid even so much as feeling a little hot! I am amazed at that girls' immune system. It must be from all the dirt, tooth paste, deodorant, shampoo, and whatnot that she constantly eats!
